Which assets can I swap to or from on TON?

What does a TON address look like?

A 48-character string of letters, digits, dashes and underscores — most begin with “EQ” or “UQ”. The widget validates the format before your swap starts.

Do I need a memo when sending to TON?

Only when the destination requires one — exchange deposits usually do, self-custody wallets usually do not. The widget flags memo requirements on routes that have them; when in doubt, check what your recipient expects before sending.

What happens if I forget a required memo?

The funds arrive at the address but cannot be attributed to you automatically, which usually means a manual recovery process with the recipient. It is avoidable: follow the widget’s memo flag and your destination’s instructions exactly.

How fast are swaps to or from TON?

What are the fees for swapping on TON?

How do I verify a TON transaction on-chain?

Look it up on a TON explorer such as Tonviewer or Tonscan using the details from your swap status page. The other leg of the swap is visible on the destination chain’s own explorer.

Which wallets work with TON?

Self-custody TON wallets such as Tonkeeper, MyTonWallet and TON Space can send and receive. Note that Telegram’s built-in Wallet is custodial — for a non-custodial swap, use a wallet whose keys you hold.

What is The Open Network?

The Open Network (TON) is a proof-of-stake blockchain engineered to scale the way messaging apps do: elastically. Its defining trick is dynamic sharding — under load, the network splits its workload across parallel chains and merges them back when demand fades, all reconciled through a single masterchain that validators secure with staked funds. Designed at Telegram in 2018, the network is now developed as an open-source project coordinated by the TON Foundation.

Speed and fees on TON in practice

Blocks confirm within a few seconds, and fees stay low enough that everyday transfers are effectively frictionless — TON sits among the cheaper, faster networks we route. In a cross-chain swap, the TON leg is rarely the one you wait on.

Costs on TON scale with what a transaction does rather than with congestion alone, so a plain transfer — the only kind a swap involves — stays at the cheap end of the network’s range. The memo rule: TON’s one extra field

TON is one of the few networks where the address is sometimes not the whole destination. Some deposits — exchange accounts above all — require a memo (also called a comment or tag) so the recipient can attribute the funds, because many customers share one address. Self-custody wallets normally need no memo: your address is yours alone.

The rule to keep: only include a memo when the route explicitly asks for it, and always check what your destination expects before sending.
